Joe: September 16, 2003:

Shiver me timbers, friday be "speak like a pirate day", and to muster a favorable gale for the occasion, I be speakin like a pirate! So, all you grog starved scurvy dogs best be raising the jolly roger on friday or I be a dispatchin me crew to put ye black spot on yer sorry souls.

Fer all ye loyal mates, I give ye a mission with a reward of booty at the end. Ta claim yer spoils, click yer bilge rat (er... mouse) over teh (2.7 megs). I be puttin the services of .mac to trial and require yer assistance ta measure their metal. I be givin them the task of servin up a tune from me personal stash. If they be wastrels, I'll be makin em walk the plank. If they be capable mates, then I be enlistin thar services in the future.

So, off with ye, and be sure ta report back if ye encounter any resistance from .mac and her crew.

Laura: September 8, 2003:

Since I won't be using my rantspace for a few weeks, I thought we should put something else in here each week, instead of one stale rant. So every week, we're going to feature a webcomic that we think is pretty spiffy and that you should most definitely check out.

So this week it's:

A tale of a girl and her... um... avatar of a matrix of infinite time-space portals... as they... ... keep the universe safe from ... the vigilante hacker crew of a ... starship named after an existentialist philosopher. ... ... right...

I guess you'll just have to go and read it for yourself.
