Okay, this is (hopefully) the last rant I'm going to make about the new title. First of all, I appreciate the people who want to help by making suggestions for alternate titles, but really, it's not up for debate. The title of this work is "Eidolic Fringe" and that's final. The problem with the old title was that it wasn't original and because of that there were issues about perception that just could not be resolved without changing the name. That issue has been resolved. Next, some people have been asking (and some others have been complaining) that they don't know what the title means. If you can believe it, this is actually one of the things I wanted to happen with the new name. Yes, the title is intentionally enigmatic. I know some of you will not like this; however, this project is primarily a work of artistic expression, and not something to win popularity contests. In that context, know that the name was chosen primarily enhance the work (especially the story). Because of this, I'm not going to come out and tell you what the name means (since it would defeat the purpose of having an enigmatic name in the first place). I'm also not going to apologise for the title. If you really hate it that much that you can't stand reading anymore, then fine. No one is forcing you to read this. In case you've forgotten, or have even realized it yet, we sink a large (almost insane) amount of time, and a fair amount of money into producing "Eidolic Fringe", and we're not asking for anything in return. You don't see any donation button or pushing of merchandise, because we're not in this for the money, or for the popularity (although if by some chance it happens, I won't complain). So, you can see how it can get annoying when people complain. The important distinction to make here is the difference between a complaint and constructive criticism. Constructive criticism is always welcome. However, if you want to complain, all I have to say is, if you don't like what's here, go start your own web comic.

Now that that's out of my system. I want to recognize all the other people out there who read this and enjoy it. It seems like I'm going on and on about the complaints and whatnot, but I guess that's from the old saying that "the squeeky wheel gets the grease" (a saying which I really hate). From the logs and whatnot, there is a large majority of people out there who read and are enjoying it (either that, or there's a small group of people who travel a lot and constantly are visiting the page from different terminals). To those people I just want to say thanks for your time. I know there are a ton of other things you could be doing than reading this.

On a final up note, I haven't really had much chance to play Xenosaga (at least not as much as I would like to). Since last week's Xenosaga character was KOS-MOS, I guess I'll focus on Shion Uzuki this week. What's not to like? She's a super intelligent engineer with a kind heart and enough physical ability to beat on hordes of monsters either while piloting a gigantic mecha or in straight hand to hand combat. Not to mention, she's also a hottie. Hmmm... I guess I'd better stop before I get myself into trouble.

Laura: March 10, 2003:

So I finally got to putting up the new name on the website, which basically means it's official, which means it's here to stay. I'm glad at least that we're not Radical Dreamers anymore. It's a shame some people don't like the new name, but we're moving on so hopefully this bizarre little chapter of the comic's existence will come to a close for me. Btw, some people may notice that there are still a few "radical dreamers" here and there on the website. We've probably missed a couple in the changing the face of the website. We'll eventually get to them all. Not that it matters since I will eventually redesign the entire website. It's not a urban legend. It shall come. And if people hate it and are vocal about it, I'll probably end up throwing myself out of a window. Well, maybe not. I'm just feeling a bit tender right now.

I don't have much else to say this week. Kinda tired and a bit in a funk. Probably too much Easter candy.
