Mercy is very spirited and outspoken. However, she was not always that way. Being the youngest of four children to a wealthy merchant, she had a very sheltered childhood. As she grew tired of her comfortable but boring life, and ran away from home at age 16 to search for adventure. It wasn't long before she got into trouble, but lucky for her, she was rescued by a young privateer named Theodric Logan. She still travels with Logan to this day, serving as a gunnery captain on Logan's ship Talizar.
