Moments of Rage

I'll appologize in advance. I'm not in the best of moods at the moment. I won't really go into detail, but if you live in Massachusetts and need some heating, ventilation or AC work done, avoid a company called CPS (based in Marlboro) like you would the ebola virus that has been genetically enhanced by alien DNA. Their incompetence is truely unrivaled in the multiverse. I'll try not to let it get in the way, but I'm only human.

Ok, actually typing that was cathartic enough, so I should be okay for now.

Moving along to something much cooler... every once in a while, someone e-mails us for web comic help/advice. It's not that I don't want to be helpful; on the contrary, I want to help and encourage people to persue more creative ventures... The part that's difficult to deal with is exactly how to be of help. We're just like a whole bunch of other people out there in that this is the first time we've done anything like this, and we're figuring stuff out as we go along. Sure, we have some experience when it comes to the mechanics of running a comic, but when it comes to creative advice... I really don't feel qualified. One thing I can do is send other people who may have some feedback to give. So, go check out fromthemargin.keenspace.com. I will say that I really like the 3d renedered spacecraft.

So, I just found out about something called National Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWriMo for short). I must have some masochistic tendancies within me, becuase I'm tempted to enter... actually, I just sealed my fate. I guess I'll be locking myself up for the month of November and trying to crank out an average of 1,700 words a day. If anyone else out there is feeling masochistic too, feel free to join in...

Weekly WebComic Feature

Since I won't be using my rantspace for a few weeks, I thought we should put something else in here each week, instead of one stale rant. So every week, we're going to feature a webcomic that we think is pretty spiffy and that you should most definitely check out.

So this week it's:

Some things just run in the family... and some things don't. But since you never know which, you shouldn't let something like a parent's reputation get in your way. Grainne Edwards isn't about to let something like family history get in the way of her dream to become a wizard. Good art, good story... the only down side is that... I think she update slower than we do.
